부천시는 지난 22일 시청 창의실에서 사업적협동조합과 공공영역 협력사업 연계를 위한 업무협약을 체결했다.

협약식은 김만수 부천시장과 이해양 부천에코씨티 이사장, 정해춘 부천에프씨 이사장을 비롯한 사회적협동조합 관계자 등 20여 명이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.

사회적협동조합은 지역주민들의 권익·복리증진과 관련된 사업을 수행하는 비영리법인으로 취약계층에게 사회서비스나 일자리를 제공하는 등 공익사업을 추진하는 조합이다.

이날 김만수 시장은 “협약을 통해 부천에서 일자리가 창출되고 지역사회가 발전할 수 있는 계기를 만드는 것은 일하는 방식을 바꾼 혁신 사례라 할 수 있다”며 “조합이 스스로 문제를 해결하고 개선하여 조합원들에게 경제적 수익이 돌아갈 수 있도록 하고, 지역에서의 활동이 좋은 결과물로 이어질 수 있도록 노력해 줄 것”을 당부했다.

이에 이해양 이사장은 “이번 협력사업을 통해 일자리 창출과 지역사회 발전에 도움이 되도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.

이번 협약으로 공공영역과 연계한 협력사업 추진이 가능해져 일자리 창출과 지역사회 발전에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.
