▲ 부천시·부천사회적기업협의회에서 사회공헌 우수기업에 시옷카를 전달했다

부천시와 부천사회적기업협의회(회장 김승모, 이하 협의회)는 지난 21일 지역사회 공헌 우수기업에 ‘시옷카’를 전달했다.

‘시옷’은 사람과 사회를 이어 지속 가능한 생태계 조성을 위한 가치를 담은 부천시 사회적경제 브랜드다.

협의회는 2015년 사랑의 연탄나눔, 2016년 사랑의 온수매트 나눔, 2018년에서 2019년에는 지역아동센터와 함께하는 88데이 등을 진행하며 8억 3천여만 원을 사회 공헌하였다.

올해 협의회는 코로나19로 어려움을 겪고 있는 관내 기업의 어려움을 함께 나누기 위해 사회공헌 우수기업 2곳을 선정하여 ‘시옷카’ 1호, 2호를 전달하기로 결정했다.

이번에 선정된 기업은 푸드뱅크 사업을 추진하는 사)행복을나누는사람들 행복한동행 등 2개 기업이다. 이 기업들은 연간 1만 명에 가까운 취약계층에게 도시락을 전달하며 나눔을 실천하고 있다.

행사를 주최한 부천사회적기업협의회 김승모 회장은 “사회공헌활동은 사회적 기업의 사명이라 생각한다”며 “이번 행사를 계기로 지속적으로 부천사회적 기업을 향해 ‘시옷카’가 출발할 수 있도록 노력하겠다” 고 말했다.

장덕천 부천시장은 “부천시 사회적기업이 지역사회에서 진행하는 많은 공헌활동들로 더불어사는 사회로 나아가고 있다”며 “이러한 활동이 활성화될 수 있도록 부천시도 적극 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.
